Off Topic: A walk down AWACS memory lane.

I had the opportunity to see AWACS early on during their development cycle, because I lived on the north end of Dayton Ohio, near Wright Patterson AFB. I recall an all day rock festival off Route 4&69 back in about 1977. Aerosmith was playing, along with several other 70's rock headliners. The festival was at eastwood lake, which is also where they used to have the hydroglobe boat races. Anyway, the AWACS circled above the lake for the entire day. It was quite cool to see Aerosmith playing, and at the same time see this funky looking aircraft with the saucer on top flying above us all afternoon long.
