- 15th Aug 2015 – Two new bugfix releases of Freeciv: 2.5.1 and, for those still playing 2.4, a final 2.4.5 release.
- 14th Mar 2015 – After 18 months, Freeciv 2.5.0 is released. NEWS-2.5.0 describes what's changed since 2.4.x.
(The previous stable release, 2.4.4, is still available from the Download page.)
- 7th Mar 2015 – The second release candidate for Freeciv 2.5.0 has been released, mainly fixing Qt client issues. Please try it; this will become the 2.5.0 stable release unless a showstopper bug is reported.
