The Modern Ruleset Edit

The modern ruleset is an attempt to create a ruleset which captures the technology and tactics of 20th-century warfare. Currently, it is still a 'beta'; although it is playable, there may still be bugs or balancing errors.

Todo: - Eliminate bugs

- add a 'suburbs' improvement (increased trade, decreased food)

- patch the client to add a menu item for this

- add more techs (the tree is abbreviated)

- better graphics

Highlights of the ruleset include:

- more spyplanes and a spy satellite
- several different tank units
- more aircraft (six fighters, five bombers, a ground attack and three recon planes)
- ICBMs (require a silo)
- world-affecting wonders
    - World Government gives everyone embassies with everyone else
    - World Bank increases everyone's trade
- All five electrical plants can be built in a city
