I just loaded annd installed the ver 2.1.8 SDL and GTK+ and I'm flabergasted at their differences. I checked the news forum and I ONLY find esoteric info but nothing for the end-user.

I love this game and I play a real lot, but the techs are killing the pleasure of just moving soldiers and laymen.
