Hi! i dunno why i do not get sound when playing under mac, in the options of the game the sound is selected, anyone knows how to solve??

Found a Fix:

Using freeciv-2.1.6 I just found a sound fix.

Open the package and locate and the stdsounds.soundspec file.

Open the stdsounds.soundspec file in a text editor and change all the .ogg file extensions to .wav.

Restart the game and you got sound.
