Is it possible to change the default location where FreeCiv looks for save files? I am trying to put FreeCiv into PortableApps.com's PAF format, and it would be nice to be able change the save file location from .freeciv\saves under to user directory to something else.

I was able to find the answer I needed. Set the %HOME% environment variable to the new save location.
