Forum:Cannot even start the 2.1.8

i cannot start the game it says "civclient.exe - aplication error" "the aplication has not been able to correctly initialize (0xc0000006)" this is translated from spanish i dont know if it has de exact same words in the english windows, i have windows xp service pack 3, and this is weird because last night i played, saved and went to sleep, and today tried to play and cant, i have not downloaded anything nor changed configuration or anything, my computer was off :(
