Not being a programmer, possibly way out on left field on this one. But anyone consider adding, say, plateaus or canyons in? Terrains that might take a worker/engineer to break into (say, a terrain-specific variation of build road). I know that water has special rules for land units to enter, so maybe a 'slope' terrain that is treated as a water body until a road-builder type "attacks" it to create an access point. Added complications to exploration & combat.


On a semi-related tangent, what about co-opting the stream-drawing program for making animal trails in woods & passes in mountains (that is, natural "roads") that appear when the game map is generated?


Just some thoughts.
