8th Aug 2011 – After nearly two years of development, Freeciv 2.3.0 is released. NEWS-2.3.0 describes what's changed since 2.2.x. (The previous stable release, 2.2.7, is still available from the Download page.)
2nd Aug 2011 – The second release candidate of Freeciv 2.3.0 has been released. It fixes a small number of issues in the previous RC. Please try it; this will become the final release of 2.3.0 unless a showstopper bug is reported.
17th Jul 2011 – The first release candidate of Freeciv 2.3.0 has been released. It fixes a variety of stability issues in the previous beta. Please try it; this will become the final release of 2.3.0 unless a showstopper bug is reported.
