Civworld is a map editor for Freeciv world maps.

Originally created by Benjamin Drieu, it was modified by Daniel Gudlat and Thue Janus Kristensen, and is now maintained by Mike Kaufman.

Civworld is a modified version of the regular GTK+ 1.2 client for Freeciv, and is currently being integrated into the main source tree. Full editor capability is built in for Freeciv 2.2.

At the moment it is distributed in the form of a couple of files on the FTP site. The README has all the details. There is also a Windows build available at the Extras download page.
